This is a photo I took of a wonderful church door when I was on holiday in Santa Cruz, in Tenerife.
Iglesia de San Francisco de Asís (Church of St. Francis of Assisi)
The Iglesia de San Francisco de Asís (Church of St. Francis of Assisi) is a Catholic church located in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain).
The church is most famous because it is home to the miraculous image of the Señor de las Tribulaciones, a small picture that represents Jesus Christ. It became famous because after a cholera epidemic and many deaths in 1893, a procession with this image was made through the streets of the city and the epidemic stopped miraculously.
The church also has an important musical archive and an organ built in London in 1862.
