It’s time for Cee’s Share Your World again!
Heres a chance for you to find out some snippets of information about your fellow bloggers. Why don’t you join in, too?
Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I’m afraid I’m a non-hugger. Please don’t hug me. I don’t like it. I stand there stiff and straight and won’t hug you back. Especially never ever on our first meeting, big mistake. Maybe by our 20th meeting, I’ll think about it.
What is your least favorite Candy?
I’m guessing that in USA, candy covers all sorts of sweets and chocolate. We don’t call it candy. We have candied peel, for cakes, which is disgusting. We call candy ‘sweets’ and this covers things like hard boiled sweets, chewy sweets. We have wine gums, fruit gums, fruit pastilles. We buy a lot of mint sweets. Do you know what dolly mixtures are? On a long car journey it is necessary to have a bag of sweets – I like wine gums and fruit gums, but since they have taken out the food colouring, you don’t get those exciting bright coloured ones anymore. I also like a bag of soft mints. And fudge. I must have fudge….. My least favourite are M&Ms.
Do you call chocolates ‘candy’ too? I like most chocolate sweets, especially bars of chocolate with nuts in, or just ordinary milk chocolate, like Galaxy. And white chocolate. A popular variety these days is salted caramel. I also like Maltesers very much. I also like chocolate covered peanuts and raisins.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”?
I’m afraid I might groan a bit, and think of childish things, and hope I’ve not got to get too involved. ‘Fun’ might mean children’s party games, bouncy castles, slapstick humour. If someone said to me – “let’s do something fun”, I think I would like to something like a treasure hunt, a pub quiz, hide and seek, paint balling. It would also be fun to go on some big theme park rides, but without the queues.
List of Favorite Smells: What smells do you love? Whether it’s vanilla scented candles or the smell of coffee in the morning or the smell of a fresh spring rain…make a list of all the things you love for a little aromatherapy.
The smells I like are –
– fresh coffee, mown grass, lavender, wood, leather, and most of all, the smell of a newborn baby when you nuzzle their neck…..
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful to be back on our yacht in Greece with my husband Tim. I’m looking forward to taking some good friends out for a day sail next week, if the weather allows.
