Six Word Saturday…..

Describe your day in just six words….. here’s mine…….

MISSED ROYAL WEDDING, GRAND-DAUGHTERS MORE IMPORTANT!

Several weeks ago, my son asked if I would like to meet up in Southampton for the day, as it would be the last time we could get together before I go back to Greece at the end of the month.  They live some distance away, and I don’t get to see them very often.

So of course, I said yes!  I didn’t realise it was the Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan, but that didn’t matter as my gorgeous grand-daughters are much more important.  I do like a royal wedding and would have happily watched the whole thing live on TV.  I love the spectacle, the crowds, the dresses, the celebrities, the music, the pomp and circumstance of the whole thing.  But not today.  I’m sure it will be constantly on the news later, and the newspapers will be full of it for weeks.

I had much more fun taking my grand-daughters to the toy department to pick out a present, while their mum and dad had an hour by themselves.  And then later, we all met up for a lovely lunch.

Royal Wedding?  What Royal Wedding?

  1. With grandkids in garden with sunshine. Obviously from those 6 words I also saw nowt of royal wedding. Wasn’t bothered as sunshine, kids and the FA cup final are more important in my life.

  2. In the scheme of things, it really only mattered to Meghan and Harry. I expect they could have done without all the hullabaloo, but it was great to share it with them. A very magical wedding. 🙂 🙂
