Our travels

October 2011 – we left Gosport, Hampshire, UK and crossed the Channel.  We took the masts down in Rouen.

We traveled south on the French waterways and canals, arriving in Beaucaire in December 2011.

We stayed in Beaucaire over the winter and lived aboard Fandancer,

In early May 2012 we left Beaucaire, had the masts put back in at Port St Louis, then sailed from the south of France to Greece, via Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, the toe of Italy, arriving in Kassiopi, Corfu, June 2012, and spent the summer sailing in the Argo-Saronic gulf.

In October 2012 we took Fandancer out of the water in a boatyard in Ermopoulis, on the island of Syros.  We lived ashore in a Greek apartment until the following April, but returned to UK over Christmas.

In April 2013 we sailed a big circuit of the Aegean, going anti-clockwise, ending up in the Sporades, then the gulf of Volos.

In winter 2013 we arrived on the island of Evia and had the boat out of the water.  We returned to the UK that winter.

In April 2014 we relaunched Fandancer, sailed down the Evia channel.  We rescued a stray kitten in the town of Limni.  Artemis is now our boat cat!   we sailed in the Argo Saronic gulf and later we went through the Corinth canal and into the Ionian.   Left the boat in a boatyard in Preveza and came back to UK for the winter, with the cat!

In April 2015, we returned to Preveza, with cat.  Relaunched in May, spent the summer in the Ionian, islands and mainland.

In October 2015, we again left Fandancer in same boatyard in Preveza, returned to UK, with cat in tow.

We are now making plans to return to Fandancer in Greece this April.
