A door for Thursday

It’s that time of the week again for Norm’s doors.   It’s always great to see everyone’s photos.



IOW beach hut

For today’s door, I’ve chosen the door of a traditional British beach hut.  This one was on the Isle of Wight, at a wonderful location called Steephill Cove, on the south coast of the island.

I wonder what treasures lie behind the door?  Maybe a battered deck chair, buckets and spades for children, or a camping stove and kettle to make a cup of tea?  I hope it won’t be too long until the weather is good enough to open the door…..

Thursday door….

I took this photo of an old Greek door on the island of Seriphos, part of the island group called the Cyclades. We moored our yacht Fandancer in the harbour and caught the local bus up the hill to the chora (hill village).   The whitewashed buildings and narrow streets were so beautiful, you couldn’t help but take lots of photos.   Each of the different groups of Greek Islands have their own characteristics, but the ancient doors and windows always seem the same…..
